Defining the overlap in the direction of travel

The overlap in the direction of travel indicates how far the part-width sections can protrude over a boundary in the direction of travel before the part-width sections are switched off. Overlap in the direction of travel prevents gaps from occurring between the headlands and the rows or between the worked areas.

The overlap in the direction of travel can be set separately for switching the part-width sections on and off.

Boundaries for the overlap in the direction of travel:

  • Boundary from unworked to worked area

  • Headland boundary

NOTE

For the correct overlap in the direction of travel, the following applies:

  • The correct switching times without overlap must be set in the implement controls.

  • If a gap is intended between the headlands and the rows or between the worked areas, a negative value can also be entered for the overlap in the direction of travel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • License available for GPS switch basic or GPS switch pro

  1. In the Work menu, select > Overlap settings.

If the connected implement supports MultiBoom, a selection of the booms is shown.

If the connected implement only has one boom, the boom selection is skipped.

  1. If the overlap settings should be adopted for all of the booms,

    activate Adopt settings for all booms.

If Adopt settings for all booms is activated, only the first boom can be selected.

  1. Select a boom from the list.
  1. Select Overlap in the direction of travel when switching on.
  2. Enter a value between -1000 cm and 1000 cm.
  3. Confirm with .
  4. Select Overlap in the direction of travel when switching off.
  5. Enter a value between -1000 cm and 1000 cm.
  6. Confirm with .
