Ag-Star GPS receiver configuration

This GPS receiver can be operated with different configurations. The configurations differ in terms of the satellite system and correction satellites. The GPS receiver can be adjusted according to the region and availability of correction services.

With the SBAS GPS correction mode, a signal with higher accuracy is available as long as the SBAS correction signal is received.

SBAS includes the correction services EGNOS, WAAS and MSAS. Further information on the availability of SBAS can be found on the Internet. For regions without SBAS availability, the GPS/GLONASS correction mode can be used.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ag-Star GPS receiver is connected

  1. In the Setup menu, select GPS.
  1. Under GPS receiver input, select GPS (NMEA0183).
  2. Under Baud rate, select Automatic.
  3. Select Configure GPS receiver.

The system searches for the connected GPS receiver.

  1. Under Correction mode, select the desired correction mode.
NOTE

The GPS receiver can send NMEA2000 data to the CAN bus. This setting should only be activated by experienced users.

  1. If the GPS receiver should send the NMEA2000 data to the CAN bus,

    activate NMEA 2000 (CAN).
