Adding field data from a shape file to a field

Shape files that are saved to a USB flash drive can be displayed and the contained field data can be added to an existing field. If the field data from a shape file should be processed without and existing field, Importing a shape file.

Shape files can contain the following field data:

  • Application maps

  • Field boundaries

REQUIREMENTS

  • Field is created, Creating a new field or ISO-XML job data is imported, Importing ISO-XML job data from a USB flash drive

  • USB flash drive with shape files is inserted

  • Application maps must be created with the WGS-84 coordinate system.

    Application maps consist of 3 files. All 3 files must be saved in the same folder or the same ZIP file on the USB flash drive:

    • Geometry data file, file format: .shp

    • Factual data file, file format: .dbf

    • Attribute data file, file format: .shx

  1. In the Work menu, select .
  1. Select the desired field.
  1. In the Field data menu, select .

The field boundaries and application maps saved on the USB flash drive are displayed.

  1. Set the checkmark for the desired field boundary or application map.
NOTE

The application maps must be assigned to the setpoint receivers of the connected implement. If the connected implement has multiple setpoint receivers, multiple application maps can be selected.

If an implement is not connected, units must be assigned to the application maps.

  1. If an implement is connected,

    select the desired setpoint receiver under Target.

or

If no implement is connected,

select the desired unit under Unit.

  1. To adjust the application rate,

    scale the values to the desired application rates under Scale values.
  2. Confirm entries with .

The selected application maps are included in the field data under Jobs. The selected field boundaries are included in the list of field boundaries.
