Setting up other GPS receivers

REQUIREMENTS

  • GPS receiver is connected

The connected GPS receiver must meet the following minimum requirements. The specified values can be found in the GPS receiver operating manual. GPS receivers that are included in the tractor equipment can be configured through the tractor.

  • Supports NMEA0183

  • Baud rate: At least 19200 baud or ideally 57600 baud

  • GGA: At least 5 Hz or ideally 10 Hz

  • VTG: At least 5 Hz or ideally 10 Hz

  • GSA: 1 Hz

  • ZDA: 1 Hz

  1. In the Setup menu, select GPS.
  1. Under GPS receiver input, select GPS (NMEA0183).

  2. With a GGA value and VTG value of 10 Hz,

    select 57600 under Baud rate

or

With a GGA value and VTG value of 5 Hz,

select 19200 or 57600 under Baud rate.
