Manual pressure adjustment of the exact following harrow

The exact following harrow must cover all of the seed rows uniformly with soil. For heavy soils, the pressure must be greater than it is for light soils.

  1. Dismount linch pin 1.
  2. Take the lever 3 out of the parking position.
  3. Insert the lever into the holder 2 to the stop.

The harrow pressure is produced by the preload of the tension springs, which are attached to a rotating tube. The higher the position of the stop, the greater the harrow pressure.

NOTE
The pressure adjustment of the exact following harrow must be adapted to the respective operating conditions. The optimal adjustment can only be determined in field operation.

  1. To increase the harrow pressure:

    Offload, and dismount linch pin 1. Peg the stop 2 in a higher position

or

To reduce the harrow pressure:

Offload and dismount the linch pin. Insert the stop in a lower position.
  1. Secure the lever 1 in the parking position 2 with the linch pin.

  2. To check the adjustment:

    Sow 98,43 ft (30m) at working speed. Check the work pattern.
