Blocking of TwinTeC cutting disks

If the inner scraper is worn, adhering soil can block the cutting disks.

  1. Depending on the implement equipment:

    Dismount the seed tube hose 5 or Y-piece.
  2. Remove the bolt 4.
  3. Dismount TwinTec seed outlet 2.
  4. Clean the TwinTeC seed outlet on the inside and outside.
  5. To avoid damaging the inner scraper, use an assembly lubricant and do not use any impact tools:

    Replace the inner scrapers 1.
  6. To mount the TwinTeC seed outlet:

    Place the TwinTeC seed outlet in the guides 3.
  7. Mount bolt.
  8. Mount the seed tube hose or Y-piece.

Under unfavorable operating conditions, adhering soil can block the cutting disks even with a functional inner scraper.

NOTE
The cutting disk is shown transparent for a better view. The cutting disk need not be dismounted.
  1. Remove adhering soil 1 by thorough cleaning.
  2. If the blockage cannot be removed:

    Dismount and clean the TwinTeC seed outlet as described below.
  1. Depending on the implement equipment:

    Dismount the seed tube hose 4 or Y-piece.
  2. Remove the bolt 3.
  3. Dismount TwinTec seed outlet 1.
  4. Remove adhering soil 5.
  5. Clean the TwinTeC seed outlet on the inside and outside.
  6. To mount the TwinTeC seed outlet:

    Place the TwinTeC seed outlet in the guides 2.
  7. Mount bolt.
  8. Mount the seed tube hose or Y-piece.
