Adjusting the height of the guide wheels

The guide wheels bear very little implement weight and are not used for depth control, rather they prevent the implement from rocking laterally during operation.

The height of the guide wheels must be adjusted such that they have ground contact during operation after adjusting the working depth of the coulters and when the implement is aligned longitudinally relative to the field.

  1. Raise the implement.
  2. Pull out the linch pins 2 on each eccentric pin 3 on the height adjustment devices 1 of the guide wheels.
  3. Pull out the eccentric pins on each of the height adjustment devices on the guide wheels, and lower the released guide wheels 4 towards the ground.
  4. Lower the implement on the field with the three-point power lift.
  5. Switch the three-point power lift to float position.
  6. Adjust the working depth of the coulters according to the section "Hydraulic adjustment of the coulter working depth", Hydraulic adjustment of the coulter working depth.
  7. Drive forward with the tractor until the coulters have penetrated into the soil.
  8. Using the top link, align the implement such that the frame is parallel to the ground lengthwise.
  9. Secure the positions of the two guide wheels that are touching the ground, each with both eccentric pins.
  10. Secure all of the eccentric pins with the linch pins.
