Replacing the cutting ring and cutting blade in the slurry spreader

When you replace the cutting ring and the cutting blade:

Wear work gloves.
  1. Use a suitable external ascent.
  2. Open and lock the cover.
  3. Loosen the hexagonal nut 1.
  4. Remove the preload washer 2 and the rubber washer 3.
  5. Remove the rotor 4.
  1. Remove the bolts 1 and washers 2 of the cutting ring 3 from the underside.
  2. Clean the contact area on the slurry spreader.
  1. Take out the worn cutting ring 1.
  1. Insert the new cutting ring 1 into the distributor head.
  1. Coat the bolts 1 with thread lock adhesive, e.g. Weicon Lock AN 302-70.

  2. Install the cutting ring 3 with the bolts and the washers 2 from the underside.

Required tightening torque: 50Nm

  1. If bolts protrude over the cutting ring:

    Cut off the ends of the bolts flush with an angle grinder.
  1. Remove the worn cutting blade 2 and the roll pins 3 from the rotor 1.
  2. Clean the seat of the cutting blade.
  1. Insert the new cutting blade 2 with the narrow contour into the rotor 1. Knock it in with a rubber mallet.
  2. Knock in the new roll pins 3 until they are flush with the cutting blades.
  1. Place the rotor 4 on the rotor adapter.
  2. Install the rubber washer 3 and the preload washer 2.
  3. Tighten the hexagonal nut 1.
  4. Adjust the preload of the hexagonal nut.

If the rotor can only just be turned by hand, the preload is correctly set.

  1. Close and lock the cover.
