Replacing the seals on the distributor head of the slurry spreader

- Use a suitable external ascent.
- Open and lock the cover.
- Loosen the hexagonal nut 1.
- Remove the preload washer 2 and the rubber washer 3.
- Remove the rotor 4.
- Remove the hexagonal nut 1, sealing ring 2, preload washer 3 and the O-ring 4.
- Remove the rotor adapter 1.
Remove the cellular PU sealing ring 2, inner ring 3 and the shims 4.
NOTE
Pay attention to the number of shims.
- Remove the locking rings 1 and 5, the radial shaft sealing rings 2 and 4, and the spacer ring 3.
- Clean the seating surfaces.
NOTE
Seal the radial shaft sealing rings towards the motor.
- Insert the new radial shaft sealing rings 4 and 2 with the locking rings and the spacer ring into the housing.
- Put the new cell PU sealing ring 2 and the new inner ring 3 on the rotor adapter 1.
- Grease the inner ring.
- Insert new shims into the housing.
NOTE
Pay attention to the number of shims.
To prevent damage to the radial shaft sealing rings:
Insert the rotor adapter into the housing with a slight rotational motion.
- Install the new O-ring 4, preload washer3, sealing ring 2 and the hexagonal nut 1.
Tightening torque for the hexagonal nut: 20Nm
- Place the rotor 4 on the rotor adapter.
- Install the rubber washer 3 and the preload washer 2.
- Tighten the hexagonal nut 1.
- Adjust the preload with the hexagonal nut.
