Filling the spray liquid tank and flushing water tank through the suction connection

Health hazard due to contact with contaminated flushing water
To prevent contamination of the flushing water tank with crop protection product, the following procedure must be followed while filling:

To clean the liquid circuit:

First fill the spray liquid tank with 500l of water.
Switch off the agitator before filling the flushing water tank.
Fill the flushing water tank with water up to the target fill level. Do not stop the filling procedure prematurely.
Then fill the spray liquid tank up to the target fill level. At the same time, flush in the spray agent.
NOTE
Depending on the season and marking on the machine, the machine can be delivered with a biodegradable antifreeze in the spray liquid tank. The antifreeze can either be sprayed out at first deployment with the spray liquid or it can be pumped out before filling the tank.
Antifreeze that was emptied out can be reused or disposed of properly.

  1. If the water hardness is above 15 °dH (2.7 mmol/l or 267 ppm):

    Add polyphosphate-based hardness stabilisers.
  1. Take the suction hose 1 from its holder.
  1. Install the suction strainer on the suction hose.
  2. Place the end of the suction hose with the suction strainer in the withdrawal point.
  1. Open the cover 1 of the control panel.
  1. Take off the sealing cap 2.
  2. Couple the suction hose on the suction connection 1.
  1. Select on the pressure valve chest DA.
  1. Run the spray liquid pump.
  2. Open the Spray liquid tank menu on the TwinTerminal.
  3. Enter and confirm the target fill level for the spray liquid tank.
  4. Select .

The spray liquid tank will be filled. The display on the suction valve chest moves to position .

  1. To increase the filling capacity by activating the additional injector:

    To do so, set switch tap IJ to a position between 0 and .
NOTE

If the injector is switched on, there is no automatic fill stop when the target fill level is reached. The injector must be switched off in due time before the target fill level is reached.

To avoid contamination of the flushing water tank, the spray liquid tank must be filled with 500l of water before the flushing water tank can be filled.

  1. When the fill level of the spray liquid tank has reached 500l:

    Switch off the agitator on the TwinTerminal.
  2. Select on the pressure valve chest DA.
  3. Open the Flushing water tank menu on the TwinTerminal.
  4. Enter and confirm the target fill level for the flushing water tank.
  5. Select .

The flushing water tank will be filled.

To prevent contamination of the flushing water tank, the filling procedure must not be interrupted until the flushing water tank has reached the target fill level.

  1. When the flushing water tank is filled:

    Select on the pressure valve chest DA.
  2. Switch on the agitator on the TwinTerminal.

Filling of the spray liquid tank will be resumed.

  1. If spray agent will be added:

    Flush in the spray agent during the filling procedure, Flushing in the spray agent through the induction bowl

or

Suction-extract the spray agent from a container during the filling procedure, Spray agent suction from containers.

  1. If the pH value of the finished spray liquid is higher than 7:

    Add citric acid or a special acidifing agent.

  1. To take a filling pause for flushing in the spray agent:

    Pull the lever for pressure valve chest DA forward.

  2. To stop the filling pause:

    Press the lever to the position.

  1. If the injector has been switched on to increase the filling capacity:

    Before the target fill level is reached, set switch tap IJ to position 0.

Filling is automatically stopped when the target fill level has been reached. The suction hose is still filled with water.

  1. To drain the suction hose through the suction strainer:

    With the lever 1 on the suction strainer, open the non-return valve and drain out the water remaining in the suction hose.
  1. Uncouple the suction hose from the suction connection.
  2. Fit the sealing cap on the suction connection.
  1. Select on the pressure valve chest DA.
  1. Close the cover of the control panel.
  2. Fasten the suction hose to the holder on the platform.
  3. Clean the strainer, dry it and store it safely.
