Setting up fertilizer

  1. In the Settings menu, select Products > Seed.

For implements with decentralized metering units, the metering wheel volume is specified per row. For implements with central metering units, the metering roller volume is specified for all rows.

  1. Under Metering wheel, select the desired metering wheel or select ... in the selection menu above and enter a user-defined metering wheel volume.

or

Under Metering rollers, select the desired metering roller volume or select ... in the selection menu above and enter a user-defined metering roller volume.

  1. Under Target spread rate enter the desired spread rate.

The calibration area corresponds to the area on which fertilizer is spread during calibration.

  1. Enter the desired calibration area.
  2. Enter an empirical value as the calibration factor

or

Retain value.

  1. Activate .

  2. If you want to monitor how much fertilizer is still available:

    Set the checkmark under Low level monitoring.
  3. Enter the rate increase as a percentage under Rate increase in the adjacent rows.

  4. To adjust the switch-on and switch-off time:

    See Configuring Section Control.

  5. If the fertilizer should be spread in portions synchronously with the seed:

    Set the checkmark under Activate FertiSpot

or

If the fertilizer should not be spread synchronously with the seed, similar to strip placement:

Remove the checkmark under Activate FertiSpot. MultiSpot is active.

The position of the FertiSpot fertilizer portions can be corrected.

  1. Activate .

  2. To shift the fertilizer portions in the direction of travel:

    Enter a positive value under Correction of fertilizer position

or

To shift the fertilizer portions opposite to the direction of travel:

Enter a negative value under Correction of fertilizer position
