Calibrating with the ISOBUS terminal and the TwinTerminal

PREREQUISITES

  • Fan must be switched off

  • machine must be at a standstill

  1. In the Field menu, openCalibrate.
  2. In the Calibrate menu, select the desired hopper.
  1. Enter the subsequent working speed under Intended speed.
NOTE
For machines with a combined double-pointed hopper, the target rate per metering unit must not be halved.
  1. Enter target rate.

For machines with row-based metering, the metering wheel volume is specified per row.

For machines with central metering units, the metering roller volume is specified for all rows.

  1. Select the desired metering wheel in the selection menu under Metering wheel

or

Under Metering roller, select the desired metering roller volume

or

In the selection menu above, select ... and enter a user-defined metering wheel volume.

  1. Continue with .

The calibration type defines how the calibration will be started.

  1. To continue calibration with the TwinTerminal:

    Under Calibration type, selectTwinTerminal.
  2. Continue with .
  1. Check entries before calibration.

  2. If the entries are correct:

    Confirm the entries with and go to step 15

or

If the entries are not correct:

Perform steps 11 to 14.

  1. Activate .
  1. On the Start page of the TwinTerminal activate .

The TwinTerminal switches off.

  1. To activate operation on the ISOBUS control terminal:

    Activate .
  2. On the ISOBUS terminal perform steps 1 to 8 and on the TwinTerminal perform steps 9 and 10 again.

  1. To prepare the machine for calibration:

    See the machine operating manual.

  1. To fill the metering units:

    Press and hold pre-metering .

  2. When pre-metering is concluded:

    Activate .
  3. Empty the calibration container.
  1. Place a calibration container under the metering unit.

  2. When the metering unit is open and an empty calibration container is placed in position:

    Activate .

  1. To start calibration:

    Press and hold .

During the calibration procedure, the theoretic spread quantity will be displayed.

NOTE

At high metering quantities, the calibration can be paused to empty the calibration container.

If the collected quantity is enough for checking, the calibration can also be terminated prematurely.

As soon as appears, the calibration test can be ended prematurely.

  1. To end calibration:

    Activate .

The display changes to the Entry menu.

NOTE

Calibration will end automatically, when an area that is differentiated by the amount of the target rate has been reached. The display changes to the Entry menu.

  1. To select the desired position:

    Activate or .

The selected position will be indicated by a arrow.

  1. To change to numeric entry:

    Activate .

The underscore indicates the selected numeric entry.

  1. To enter the desired number:

    Activate or .

  2. To apply the desired number:

    Activate .
  3. Enter all numbers.
  1. Press until is selected.

  2. To apply the calibration factor:

    Activate .

The new calibration factor and the percentage difference between calibration quantity and theoretic quantity is displayed.

  1. If the displayed percentage deviation is greater than 2%:

    Apply the value and repeat the calibration for an optimization with .

or

If the displayed percentage of rate deviation is less than 2%:

Apply the value with

or

To discard the calibrated values and start a new calibration:

Activate .

  1. To activate operation on the ISOBUS control terminal after calibration:

    Activate .
