Cleaning the opto-sensor

  1. Disconnect the ISOBUS from the tractor.
WARNING
Risk of chemical burns by dressing dust
Before working with hazardous materials, put on the protective clothing recommended by the manufacturer.
  1. Open the locks 1.
  2. Remove the cover 2.
  1. Release the lock 1 until the points 2 are aligned.
  1. remove the singling disc 1 from the drive hub.

To clean the opto-sensor, use tap water with dishwashing detergent.

  1. To remove light contamination:

    Clean the opto-sensor as follows.
  2. Loosen contamination with the supplied brush for 1 minute.
  3. Rinse the opto-sensor with water.
  4. Install the singling disc.
  5. Install the cover.
  1. To remove stubborn contamination:

    Remove and clean the opto-sensor as follows.
  2. Remove the spring cotter pin 1.
  1. Press the shot channel 3 against the gasket 2 in the funnel 1.
  2. Swivel the feed channel away from the opto-sensor. Pull it up.
  1. Remove the bolts 1.
  2. Remove the spacer plate 2.
  1. Disconnect the plug connection 3.
  2. Move the opto-sensor 1 down.
  3. Remove the gasket 2.
IMPORTANT
Destruction of the opto-sensor due to improper cleaning
Clean the opto-sensor only with the supplied brush.
Do not immerse the plug connector in liquids.
  1. Remove the opto-sensor 1.
  2. Soak the opto-sensor for 1 minute.
  3. Clean the opto-sensor with the supplied brush.
  4. Rinse the opto-sensor with water.
  1. Insert the opto-sensor 1.
  1. Move the opto-sensor 1 up.
  2. Put on the gasket 2.
  3. Establish the plug connection 3.
  1. Install the spacer plate 2.
  2. Install the bolts 1.
  1. Press the shot channel 3 against the gasket 2 in the funnel 1.
  2. Swivel the shot channel under the opto-sensor.
  1. Install the shot channel with the spring cotter pin 1.
  2. Establish the ISOBUS connection to the tractor.
  3. Restart the machine.

After cleaning the opto-sensors, the intensity of the opto-sensors must be reset in the software.

NOTE
The opto-sensors are reset on all of the rows both on the row section and on the individual rows.
To reset the opto-sensors, all of the rows must be free of blockages.
  1. In the Settings > Info > Diagnosis > Rows > Row section menu, select Row.
  2. Press .
