Checking and replacing the cutting discs on the PreTeC mulch seeding coulter

  1. Determine the cutting disc diameter.

  2. If the diameter of the cutting discs is less than 360ml:

    replace the cutting discs.
  3. Remove the depth control wheel along with the bracket 1.
  4. Remove the dust caps 2.
NOTE

The central bolts have different threads:

  • The right central bolt has right-hand thread

  • The left central bolt has left-hand thread

  1. Unscrew and remove the central bolts 3.
  2. Remove worn cutting discs 5.
  3. Unscrew and remove the bolts on the bearing seat 6.
  4. Replace worn cutting discs with new cutting discs.
  5. Put on and tighten the bolts on the bearing seat.
  6. Install new cutting discs.

  7. To ensure that the cutting discs touch slightly,

    adjust the spacing of the cutting discs with the spacer discs 4.
  8. Install spacer discs that are not required on the opposite side of the cutting disc bearing with the central bolt.
  9. Put on and tighten the central bolt.
  10. Install the dust caps.
  11. Install the depth control wheel along with the bracket.
  12. Put on and tighten the bolt.
