Installing the PreTeC mulch seeding coulter with the coulter carriage

REQUIREMENTS

  • Firm and level hall floor

  • Coulter carriage

  • Secure the tractor against unauthorised operation

  • Direct people out of the danger zone

  • The machine is lifted

Before the existing coulters can be installed on the new row spacing, the supply lines for the additional rows must be disconnected.

  1. Disconnect the air supply and fertiliser supply on the rear hopper, Disconnecting the air supply and fertiliser supply on the rear hopper

or

Disconnect the air supply and fertiliser supply on the distributor head, Disconnecting the air supply and fertiliser supply on the distributor head.

  1. Disconnect the hydraulic supply, Disconnecting the hydraulic supply.
  2. Disconnect the energy supply, Disconnecting the energy supply.
  1. For long-term tight fit of the coulters:

Clean the frame and the coulter mounting brackets.
  2. Set the fertiliser placement depth to the topmost position.
  3. Set the mechanical coulter pressure to the highest value.
  4. Set the seed placement depth to the parking position P.
  5. Set the pitch of the V-press roller to position A.
  6. Lift the machine.
  7. Position the transport dolly 2 under the coulter.
  8. Hook the belts 1 onto the coulter.
  9. To put the coulter with the depth control wheels 3 down in the transport dolly:

    Carefully lower the machine.

The support rollers are standing in the transport dolly.

The belts hold the coulter.

The coulter mount is relieved.

  1. Remove the coulter clamp 1.
IMPORTANT
Machine damage due to collision with the coulter mounting bracket

When the machine is lowered:

Have a second person watch the coulter mounting brackets.
  1. Carefully continue lowering the machine.

The belts hold the coulter.

The coulter mounting bracket 1 is load-free.

  1. Release the coulter from the frame 2.
  1. Move the transport dolly with the coulter 1 to the desired position on the frame 2.
  1. Slightly lift the machine.

The support rollers 3 are standing in the transport dolly 2.

The belts are tension-free.

The coulter mount is relieved.

  1. Loosen the belts 1 from the coulter.
  1. Ensure that the coulter mount 2 is aligned parallel to the profile rail 3.
  2. Ensure that all journal bearings 1 are touching the profile rail.
NOTE
Tighten the coulter clamp when the coulter mount is relieved.
  1. To tighten the coulter mount:

Tighten the bolts 4 on telescopic coulters to 160Nm minus 180°

or

Tighten bolts on non-telescopic coulters to 200Nm.

IMPORTANT
Damage to the frame due to loose coulter bracket
After one hour of operation, check the bolts for tight fit.
  1. Lift the machine further.
  2. Remove the transport dolly.
  3. To install the additional coulters:

    Repeat steps 16 to 23.
  4. Establish the energy supply, Establishing the energy supply.
  5. Establish the hydraulic supply, Establishing the hydraulic supply.
  6. Connect the supply hoses on the fertiliser hopper, Establishing the air supply and fertiliser supply on the rear hopper

or

Establish the air supply and fertiliser supply on the distributor head, Establishing the air supply and fertiliser supply on the distributor head.

  1. Couple the ISOBUS onto the tractor.
  2. Restart the machine.
  3. To enter the changed working width on the control terminal:

See ISOBUS software operating manual > Defining the geometry.
