Emptying and cleaning the metering unit

IMPORTANT
Risk of damage to the metering drive due to swelling fertiliser or germinating seed.
Empty the metering unit after operation.
Clean the metering unit after operation.
  1. Switch off the fan.

  2. If there are residues in the hopper:

    Close the sliding shutter.
  3. Activate the calibration conveyor section.
  4. Open the calibration flap.
  5. Put the calibration bucket into collection position.

  6. To empty the metering unit and the metering roller:

    Actuate the calibration button for 10 seconds

or

Actuate the metering unit pre-metering

or

Actuate the hopper emptying.

  1. Loosen the bolts with the wrench 1.
  2. Park the wrench in the holder 3.
  3. Turn the bearing cover 2.
  1. Pull off the bearing cover 1.
  2. Pull the metering roller 2 out of the metering unit.
  3. Clean the metering housing and the metering roller.
  4. Install the metering roller.
  1. Align the catch 3 on the bearing cover 2 with the drive shaft.
  2. Install the bearing cover.
  3. Tighten the bolts with the wrench 1.
  4. Park the wrench in the holder 4.
  5. Activate the desired conveyor section.
  6. Empty the calibration bucket.
  7. Put the calibration bucket in the storage compartment.
  8. Close the calibration flap.

  9. If the implement is equipped with additional hoppers,

    empty and clean the metering units in the same way.
