Adjusting the fan speed with the tractor control unit

PREREQUISITES

  • The seed hoppers must be filled

  • Machine must be unfolded

NOTE
Depending on the equipment, a pressure gauge, control computer or control terminal shows the air pressure. The specified values are reference values. Check the grain placement after driving a short distance.
Use of the cyclone separator requires an increased fan speed. If the desired fan pressure is not reached, use a larger hydraulic motor. Contact your specialist workshop for more information.

Seed

Fan pressure

Beets, rapeseed, sorghum or sunflower

0,51 psi (35mbar) ±0,07 psi (5mbar)

Corn, soy or field beans

0,65 psi (45mbar) ±0,07 psi (5mbar)

WARNING
Risk of injury due to ejected fan parts
If the fan is operated at excessive speeds, fan parts can break and be ejected.
Ensure that the fan speed does not exceed 5.0001/min.

  1. Depending on the machine equipment:

    Unfold the machine.

  2. To switch on the singling fan:

    Switch on tractor control unit red 1.

  3. To warm up the hydraulic oil for optimal regulation of the hydraulic system:

    Run the fan for 5 minutes at 2.5001/min.

  4. To fill the singling disks with seed grains:

    See ISOBUS-Software > Tasks > Fill singling disk.

  5. To correct the fan pressure:

    Adjust the oil quantity on the tractor control unit.

  6. If the cyclone separator is used:

    Check the fan speed setting.
