Checking the grain spacing
The application rate determines the required grain spacing. The selection of the singling disks and of the singling disk speed, adjust the grain spacing.
- Sow 98,43 ft (30m) at working speed.
- Use the read-off edge of the multi-placement tester to remove the soil in layers.
- Expose 11 grains in one row.
- Place the multi-placement tester horizontally on the ground.
- Measure the spacing of 10 grains with the ruler 1.
- Calculate the average grain spacing.
- Cover the seed with fine soil again.
