Checking and replacing the cutting disks on the PreTeC mulch seeding coulter

  • Drain 100 operating hours

    or

    Every 3 months

  1. Determine the cutting disk diameter.

  2. If the diameter of the cutting disks is less than 12,17 fl.oz (360ml) :

    Replace the cutting disks.
  3. Remove the depth control wheel together with the holder 1.
  4. Remove the dust caps 2.
NOTE

The central bolts have different thread:

  • The right central bolt has right-hand thread

  • The left central bolt has left-hand thread

  1. Unscrew and remove the central bolts 3.
  2. Remove worn cutting disks 5.
  3. Unscrew and remove the bolts on the bearing seat 6.
  4. Replace worn cutting disks with new cutting disks.
  5. Fit on and tighten the bolts on the bearing seat.
  6. Mount new cutting disks.

  7. To ensure that the cutting disks touch slightly,

    adjust the spacing of the cutting disks with the spacer disks 4.
  8. Mount spacer disks that are not required on the opposite side of the cutting disk bearing, with the central bolt.
  9. Fit on and tighten the central bolt.
  10. Mount dust caps.
  11. Mount the depth control wheel together with the holder.
  12. Fit on and tighten bolt.
