Cleaning the fan rotor

  • At end of season

The air suctioned in by the fan may contain fertilizer dust or sand. These contaminants can accumulate on the fan rotor and cause imbalance of the fan. This imbalance can destroy the fan.

PREREQUISITES

  • Implement is coupled on the tractor

  • The singling unit housings are open

  • The singling disks are removed

  1. Open the water drain 1 on the air distributor.

  2. To wash the deposits off of the fan rotor:

    Direct a jet of water into the intake opening 2.

  3. If most of the water has run out of the air distributor:

    Run the fan for 5 minutes.

The air supply will be blown dry.

  1. Switch off the fan.
  2. Close the water drain on the air distributor.
