Adjusting the exact following harrow pressure manually

The exact following harrow must cover all of the seed rows evenly with earth. On heavy soils, the exact following harrow pressure must be higher than on light soils.

  1. Remove the linch pin 1.
  2. Take the lever 3 out of the parking position.
  3. Insert the lever into the holder 2 up to the stop.

The harrow pressure is produced by the preload of the tension springs, which are attached to a rotating tube. The higher the position of the stop, the greater the harrow pressure.

NOTE
The adjustment of the exact following harrow pressure must be adapted to the respective operating conditions. The optimum adjustment can only be determined during field operation.
  1. To increase the harrow pressure:

Relieve and remove the linch pin 1. Insert the stop 2 in a higher position

or

To reduce the harrow pressure:

Relieve and remove the linch pin. Insert the stop in a lower position.
  1. Secure the lever 1 in the parking position 2 with the linch pin.
  2. To check the setting:

Spread seed for 30m at working speed. Check the work pattern.
