Cleaning the metering unit

IMPORTANT
- Switch off the fan.
- Take the calibration bucket 1 from the guide rails.
- Slide the calibration bucket 1 into the guide rails.
If the implement has two injectors 4 and two metering units 1,
deactivate the conveyor section 3 with the lever 2.
The seed from both metering units can now be collected in the calibration bucket.
To remove seed residues from the metering unit housing:
Open the calibration flap with the lever 1.
- Loosen the bolts 3 with the socket wrench 1.
- Swivel the bolts to the side.
- Take the sliding shutter 2 from its parking position.
- Push the sliding shutter 2 into the metering unit housing.
- Park the socket wrench in the holder 1.
To empty the metering unit and the metering roller:
Refer to the ISOBUS software operating manual, Emptying
or
refer to the Control computer operating manual.
- Loosen the bolts with the socket wrench 3.
- Park the socket wrench in the holder 2.
- Turn the bearing cover 1.
- Pull off the bearing cover 2.
When the hopper is closed off with the sliding shutter,
pull the metering roller 1 out of the metering unit.- Clean the metering housing and the metering roller.
When the metering housing and the metering roller have been cleaned,
reinstall the metering roller.
- Align the catch 4 on the bearing cover 1 with the drive shaft.
- Install the bearing cover.
- Tighten the bolts with the socket wrench 3.
- Park the socket wrench in the holder 2.
- park the sliding shutter 1 on the metering unit housing.
- Swivel the bolts 3 in front of the sliding shutter.
- Tighten the bolts with the socket wrench 2.
If the implement has two metering units,
clean the second metering unit as well.
- Activate the conveyor section 2 with the lever 1.
To close the calibration flap:
actuate the lever 1.
- Take the calibration bucket 1 from the guide rails.
- Empty the calibration bucket.
- Turn the calibration bucket.
- Slide the calibration bucket into the guide rails and put in parking position.
