The shackles 1 and chain links 2 are worn by tensile forces and movement during operation.

  1. Check the diameter d on the chain links according to the equation.

  2. If the diameter is smaller than 0,57 in (14,4mm):

    Replace the defective chain with original spare parts.

  3. Determine the length L on the chain links.

  4. If the length is greater than 1,98 in (50,4mm):

    Replace defective chain with original spare parts.

  5. Determine the diameter d on the shackles according to the equation.

  6. If the diameter is smaller than 0,6 in (15,2mm):

    Replace defective shackles with original spare parts.
