Replacing the drive belt

Risk of injury due to machine parts still running

As long as machine parts are moving:

Keep all protective covers closed.
IMPORTANT
Machine damage due to incorrect belt replacement
Soiled pulleys or tension rollers as well as unequal belts cause slipping, overheating and premature wear.

When you install new belts:

Clean the pulleys and tension rollers.
For multiple belt drives, replace all of the belts.

For multiple belt drives, use only belts from the same batch.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Machine is switched off.

  • The machine is parked on a level surface in a secure area.

  • The machine is secured against rolling away.

  1. Loosen the lock nuts 1.
  2. Keep the lock nut for reinstallation.
  3. Open the belt protective cover 2.
  1. Remove the lock nut 3.

  2. To relieve the drive belt 2:

    Screw out the nut 1.

The tension arm 4 moves to the right. The drive belts are relieved.

  1. Take all 4 drive belts off of the pulleys.

  1. To mount a new set of belts:

    Put the drive belt 1 on the pulleys 2 successively from the rear to the front.
  2. Adjust the belt tension, Adjusting the belt drive.

  1. Tighten the lock nut 1.

The belts are installed.

  1. Close the belt protective cover 2.
  2. Screw on the lock nuts 1 and tighten them.

The side cover is closed and secured.
