The neighbouring field is an area under agricultural use. Minimal quantities of fertiliser fall beyond the boundary. The quantity of fertiliser at the field edge is close to the target rate.

There is a road, a field track or someone else's field at the field boundary. Only minimal quantities of fertiliser fall beyond the boundary.

There is a water body or ditch at the field boundary. No fertiliser may fall closer than one metre from the boundary.

Mounted machines are special equipment parts of the tractor. Mounted machines are always referred to as machines in this operating manual.

Operating materials serve to ensure operational readiness. Operating materials include e.g. cleaning agents and lubricants such as lubricating oil, greases or cleaners.

The mounted machine and tractor are positioned horizontally on a level surface.

The switch-off point is the position at which the shutters are closed when driving into headlands, to achieve optimal fertiliser distribution. The switch-off point is measured from the centre of the headland to the spreading disc.

The switch-on point is the position at which the shutter is opened when driving out of headlands, to achieve optimal fertiliser distribution. The switch-on point is measured from the centre of the headland to the spreading disc.

In this operating manual, the designation tractor is always used, even for other agricultural machines. Machines are mounted on the tractor or towed by the tractor.
