Adjusting the coulter pressure on the TwinTeC plus coulter

The coulter pressure can only be built up and adjusted when the fan is running.

The coulter pressure is set on the control terminal, see ISOBUS software operating manual. The following settings can be made:

  • Infinitely variable setting of the coulter pressure from 0 to 100 %

  • Selection of the required coulter pressure stages

  1. Couple the implement onto the tractor.
  2. Run the fan up to nominal speed.

The control terminal displays the selected coulter pressure stage.

Operating conditions

Coulter pressure

Note

Heavy soils

Increase the coulter pressure

If the coulter pressure is too high, it can have a negative effect on field emergence.

Deep placement

Light soils

Reduce the coulter pressure

If the coulter pressure is too low, the placement depth cannot be reliably maintained.

Shallow placement

NOTE
Pay close attention to the adjustment of the coulter pressure, particularly for shallow seeding.
  1. To increase coulter pressure:

In the Work menu, select .

or

To reduce the coulter pressure:

In the Work menu, select .

The setpoint is shown in the status bar.

If the coulter pressure is highlighted in yellow, the actual value deviates from the setpoint.

  1. To check the setting:

Spread seed for 30m at working speed. Check the placement depth and work pattern.
  2. If big changes are made to the coulter pressure adjustment,

check the setting of the section pressure.
