Adjusting the working depth of the furrow ridge leveller

It is not always recommended to use the deepest settings, because there is a risk that too much soil is pushed out of the furrow between the wheels and the coulters deposit the seed unevenly.

The furrow ridge leveller can be deactivated if necessary.

  1. If the implement is not on the headlands:

    Lift the tools.
  2. Remove the linch pin 1.
  3. Pull out the fixing pin 2.
NOTE

On heavy and stony soils, the furrow ridge leveller should only be run up to 5cm in the soil, since the deepest position could overbend the springs.

  1. To adjust the furrow ridge leveller further down:

    Insert the pin in one of the upper positions.

or

To adjust the furrow ridge leveller further up:

Insert the pin in one of the lower positions.
  1. To deactivate the furrow ridge leveller 3:

    insert the pin in topmost position.
  2. Secure the pin with the linch pin.
  3. Make the same adjustment on all setting elements.
  4. To check the setting:

    Seed for 30m at working speed and then check the work pattern.
