Adjusting the placement depth on the TwinTeC plus coulter

The adjustment of the placement depth must be adapted to the respective operating conditions. The optimum adjustment can only be determined during field operation.

When the implement is being lifted, the cylinders move to the upper end position. The oil flow is stopped and the valves in the hydraulic system are closed, causing the cylinders to extend again by a few millimetres.

  1. To increase the placement depth:

    In the Work menu, select .

To reduce the seed placement depth:

In the Work menu, select .

The setpoint is shown in the status bar. If the placement depth is highlighted in yellow, the actual value deviates from the setpoint.

  1. To check the setting:

    Spread seed for 30m at working speed. Check the placement depth and work pattern.

  2. If big changes are made to the placement depth:

    check the setting of the section pressure.
