NOTE
The application rate for seeds 3 or fine seeds 2 is always based on the total number of currently running metering units.
If grains get stuck in the hoses on slopes, the fan speed must be increased. The fan speed should be increased in increments of 100. The grains can be damaged if the speed is too high.
NOTE
For legumes, the fan speed must be set to a maximum of 3000 for up to 200, and to a maximum of 3500 for more than 200. These settings protect the seed.
If the machine is used with double coulter spacing, the fan speed must be reduced to 1500 for fine seeds.
If the machine is used with a three-chamber hopper, we recommend running the third metering unit at less than 80.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The hopper is full.

  • The hopper is closed.

  • The calibration flaps are closed.

  1. Read the required fan speed from the table.
  2. If the desired fan speed is lower than 3.0001/min:

    Leave the PTO shaft switched off.
  3. Switch on the red 1 tractor control unit. Set the fan speed to at least 7001/min.
  4. If the desired fan speed is greater than 3.0001/min:

    Switch on the PTO shaft. Set the PTO shaft speed to 8001/min.
  5. To warm up the hydraulic oil for optimal regulation of the hydraulic system and to transport any condensation out of the conveyor section:

    Run the fan for about 5 minutes at 2.5001/min.
NOTE
The set fan speed can drop slightly as soon as the spreading material is routed through the conveyor section.
  1. To correct the fan speed:

    Adjust the oil quantity on the tractor control unit.

The fan speed is displayed on the control terminal.

The job computer monitors the fan speed. If the actual speed deviates from the nominal speed by more than 10 %, an acoustic signal is issued and a warning is displayed. It is possible to set the percent deviation.

NOTE
The pressure difference between the hopper chambers must not exceed 5 when the spreading materials are the same.
  1. Check the hopper internal pressure on the control terminal.
  2. If the control terminal does not display an appreciable pressure when the fan is running:

    Check if the hopper covers are closed, the seals are undamaged and the sluices are closed.
