Performing quick cleaning or intensive cleaning

Perform the cleaning of the liquid circuit, the spray lines and the nozzles while driving on the field, since cleaning solution is applied intermittently. The machine can be cleaned in the farmyard if a collecting facility is available, e.g. a Biobed.

A distinction is made between quick cleaning and intensive cleaning:

  • Quick cleaning must be performed daily. Duration: approx. 4 to 6 minutes.

  • Intensive cleaning must be performed before a critical agent change or before the machine will be taken out of service for a longer period of time. Duration: approx. 15 minutes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The flushing water tank is filled.

  • The spray liquid tank is empty.

  1. Run the spray liquid pump on the ISOBUS control terminal.
  2. Select Field menu > Cleaning > Intensive cleaning on the ISOBUS control terminal

or

Select Field menu > Cleaning > Quick cleaning on the ISOBUS control terminal.

The ISOBUS control terminal shows the conditions that must be met:

  • Maximum fill level of the spray liquid tank

  • Minimum fill level of the flushing water tank

  • Boom unfolded

  • Speed of the spray liquid pump

  1. Ensure that the conditions shown on the ISOBUS control terminal are met.
  2. Start the cleaning procedure.
  3. Enter the quantity of flushing water required for cleaning.

The agitator will be flushed.

Tank internal cleaning will be switched on.

  1. Confirm the procedure and start driving at the same time.

The cleaning solution will be sprayed out. The spraying procedure will be started and stopped several times.

During intensive cleaning, cleaning solution is sprayed out automatically three times.

NOTE
If the machine is equipped with AmaSelect single nozzle control, the nozzles are automatically switched during the cleaning procedure. This ensures that all of the nozzles are flushed.
  1. On the ISOBUS control terminal, confirm that residual emptying can be performed

or

On the ISOBUS control terminal, skip residual emptying.

  1. Select the Spray liquid tank menu on the TwinTerminal.
  2. To start the residual emptying:

Select the function on the TwinTerminal.
  1. Switch off the spray liquid pump and confirm.
  1. Place a collection bucket under the emptying connection and confirm.
  2. Empty the residual quantity into the collection bucket.
  1. To stop the residual emptying:

Select the function on the TwinTerminal.

The ISOBUS control terminal confirms that the cleaning procedure is complete.

  1. Loosen the central nut 1 on the suction filter.
  2. Turn the suction filter cover 2 to the left.
  3. Take the suction filter together with the suction filter cover out of the suction filter housing.
  1. Separate the suction filter from the suction filter cover.
  2. Clean the suction filter with water.
  3. Grease the O-rings.
  1. Put the suction filter in the suction filter cover 2. Make sure that the vent valve 1 of the suction filter cover is lined up with the marking.
  2. Insert the suction filter with the suction filter cover into the suction filter housing.
  3. Press on the suction filter cover and turn it to the right up to the stop.

The vent valve is no longer lined up with the marking.

  1. Tighten the central nut 3 of the suction filter.
  1. Unscrew the cap 2 with the pressure filter 1.
  2. Take out the pressure filter.
  3. Clean the pressure filter with water.
  4. Grease the O-rings.
  5. Screw in the cap with the pressure filter.
  6. Randomly check several nozzle filters on the boom for spray liquid residues.
  7. If there are spray liquid residues in the nozzle filters:

Take out all of the nozzle filters and flush them with water.
  8. Reinsert the nozzle filters.

If the machine is equipped with line filters, the line filters must also be cleaned.

  1. Drain all line filters with the stop tap 1.
  2. Take off all line filters.
  3. Clean all line filters with water.
  4. Grease the O-rings.
  5. Reinsert all line filters. In this process, ensure that the O-ring seals are correctly seated.

If the machine is equipped with HighFlow+, the HighFlow+ pressure filter 2 must also be cleaned.

  1. Place a collection bucket under the drain hose in front of the right rear wheel.
  2. Set the HighFlow+ switch tap 1 to the position.
  3. Drain the liquid until the HighFlow+ pressure filter is drained.
  4. Unscrew the HighFlow+ pressure filter.
  5. Clean the HighFlow+ pressure filter with water.
  6. Grease the O-rings.
  7. Screw the HighFlow+ pressure filter back in.
  8. Put the HighFlow+ switch tap back in its previous position.
