Cleaning the fan rotor

  • At end of season

The air suctioned in by the fan may contain fertilizer dust or sand. These contaminants can accumulate on the fan rotor and cause imbalance of the fan. This imbalance can destroy the fan.

PREREQUISITES

  • Implement is coupled on the tractor

  • The singling unit housings are open

  • Calibration flap on the fertilizer metering unit is open

  • The singling disks are removed

  1. To safely reach the fan rotor:

    Use a suitable external climbing aid.

  2. To wash the deposits off of the fan rotor:

    Direct a jet of water into the intake opening 1.
  3. Run the fan for 5 minutes.

The air supply will be blown dry.

  1. Switch off the fan.
