Adjusting the smooth cutting disk

The smooth cutting disks shred plant residues and cut the soil in the area of the seeding coulter. This makes it easier for the coulter to penetrate heavy soil. This enables the seeding unit to run smoothly on soils with coarse surface structures.

Depending on cultivation conditions, it may be possible to spread seed without soil tillage. However, the prerequisite is that soils must not be too heavy or clayey.

  1. Lift out the implement.
  2. Secure tractor and implement.
  3. Remove nuts and washers 1.
  4. Remove bolts 5.
  5. Bring the holder 4 into the desired height.
  6. Mount bolt.
  7. Mount and tighten nuts and washers.

If the adjustment range is insufficient, mount the cutting disk 3 at the desired height on the holder.

  1. Remove nuts and washers 2.
  2. Mount the cutting disk at the desired height on the holder.
  3. Mount nut and washer.

  4. To check the adjustment:

    Drive 98,43 ft (30m) at working speed. Check the work pattern.
