Checking and cleaning the distributor head

  1. Unlock the locking lever 1 on the metering housing.

  2. To prevent the accumulation of moisture:

    Open the calibration flap 2.

A ladder is required to reach the distributor head.

  1. To safely reach the distributor head:

    Hand the ladder 1 with the first rung in the notch of the device 2.
CAUTION
Risk of falling while accessing the distributor head
Support the ladder 1 on the lighting support 2.
Keep the ladder away from the ground.
  1. Climb up the ladder to the distributor head.
  1. Loosen and remove the 6 ring nuts 1.
  2. Take off the cover using the handle 2.
  1. Put the cover 1 in the holder 2.
NOTE
Clean the distributor head with compressed air.
Personal protective equipment must be worn while cleaning.

  1. To remove the deposits:

    Clean the corrugated tube 1 and the seed outlets 2 with compressed air.

  1. To check the flaps for ease of movement:

    Move the lever back and forth 1.

If the motor unit 3 or the connecting rod 4 are defective, the flaps can be fixed in the open or closed position with the bolt 2.

  1. Check the connecting rod 4 and motor unit 3 for damage.

  2. If the connecting rod or motor unit are damaged:

    Replace the connecting rod or motor unit.
  3. Install the cover.
  4. Install the 6 ring nuts and tighten by hand.
