Adjusting the section pressure

The setting of the section pressure must be adapted to the operating conditions. The optimum adjustment can only be determined during field operation.

To be able to build up and adjust the section pressure, the fan must be activated and the implement must be in working position.

The wheels on the implement sections do not have ground contact.

Increase the section pressure:

The wheels at the centre of the implement push up a ridge of soil.

The placement depth is lower on the outside than in the centre

The wheels on the implement sections push up a ridge of soil.

Reduce the section pressure:

The wheels in the centre of the implement do not have ground contact.

The placement depth is lower in the centre than on the outside.

NOTE
Soil can pile up between the tractor wheels and falsify the setting.
  1. To increase the section pressure:

    In the work menu, select .

or

To reduce the section pressure:

In the Work menu, select .

The setpoint is shown in the status bar.

If the section pressure is highlighted in yellow, the actual value deviates from the setpoint.

  1. To check the setting:

    Spread seed for 30m at working speed. Check the placement depth and work pattern.
  2. If big changes are made to the section pressure setting,

    check the placement depth adjustment.
