Changing the metering roller

NOTE
The metering unit must be empty before the metering roller can be changed.
  1. Select a suitable metering roller depending on the spreading material and metering rate. If the spreading material is not listed, select the metering roller for a spreading material with a comparable grain size, see Selecting the metering roller.
  1. When the hopper chamber is filled:

    Insert the shutter to separate the metering unit from the hopper, see Inserting the shutter.
  1. Unlock the locking lever 1 on the metering housing.
  2. Open the calibration flap 2.
  1. Take the calibration bucket 1 from the storage compartment.
  2. Push the calibration bucket into the holder 2 under the metering housing.
  1. To empty the metering unit and the metering roller:

    Refer to the ISOBUS software operating manual, Emptying.
  1. Switch off the control terminal and disconnect the power supply between the tractor and the implement.
  1. Using the spanner 1, loosen the bolts 2.
  2. Turn the bearing cover 3 in the direction of the arrow.
  3. Remove the bearing cover.
  1. Check the sealing ring of the bearing cover for damage.
  2. If the sealing ring is damaged:

    replace it.
  3. Take out the inserted metering roller.

When installing metering rollers with blind wheels, make sure that the stoppers 2 are facing the groove 1.

  1. Install the metering roller 3.
  1. Install the bearing cover.
  2. To fasten the bearing cover:

    Turn the bearing cover counterclockwise.
  3. Tighten the bolts with the wrench.
  4. If the shutter was inserted at the beginning:

    Take out the shutter and fix it in parking position.
  5. Empty the calibration bucket and stow it in the storage compartment.
  1. Close the calibration flap 2.
  2. Lock the locking lever 1 on the metering housing.
