Adjusting the air supply to the fertiliser metering unit

On implements with fertiliser equipment, the front fan supplies the emitting unit of the Central Seed Supply system and the fertiliser conveyor section. On implements without fertiliser equipment, the front fan supplies both emitting units of the Central Seed Supply system.

NOTE
On implements without fertiliser equipment, maintain the setting of the air flap.

  1. loosen the nut 1.

  2. For high fertiliser application rates:

    Open the air flap 2 to position 3 at the most

or

For lower fertiliser application rates:

Close the air flap to position 7 at the most.

  1. Tighten the nut.

If no fertiliser is being spread, the air supply for the fertiliser delivery can be reduced or deactivated. This reduces the required fan speed.

  1. Remove the bolt 1.

  2. To deactivate the air supply for the fertiliser delivery:

    Close the air flap 2 in position 10.
  3. Tighten the nut.
