Coupling the dual-circuit hydraulic brake system

WARNING
Risk of accident due to brake failure
The hydraulic accumulator of the dual-circuit hydraulic brake system must be filled for the brake function and for the emergency brake function.

To fill the hydraulic accumulator:

Each time before driving off, keep the tractor brake pedal depressed for 10 seconds.
Never drive with the ABS indicator light illuminated.
  1. Coupling the CL brake line 1.
  2. Coupling the SL supplemental brake line 2.
  1. Plug the ABS connector 1 into the ABS socket and secure it with the locking mechanism 2 on the ABS socket.
NOTE
For tractors without ABS socket: With the adapter cable, the brake can be supplied with voltage for brief maneuvering operations via the 12 V tractor socket. Normal operation is not permitted under these circumstances.
  1. Ensure that the ABS indicator light lights up when the ignition is switched on.
  2. If the ABS indicator light does not light up:

Check the connector and socket connections of the ABS cable.
  3. When the ABS indicator lights up:

    Start the tractor engine.
  4. Activate the tractor brake until the ABS indicator light goes out.
  5. Keep the tractor brake depressed for an additional 10 seconds.

The necessary operating pressure is being built up in the hydraulic accumulator.

  1. Start driving slowly. Test the brakes.
