Configuring the source of the speed signal

To control the application rate of the machine, a speed signal is required.

NOTE
The selected source must be accurate. An inaccurate source of the speed signal causes a faulty application rate.
  1. In the Settings menu, select Machine > Speed.

Source

Meaning

Radar (tractor)

Signal from the tractor's radar sensor

Wheel (tractor)

Signal from the tractor's wheel sensor

Satellite (NMEA2000)

Signal from the GPS antennae

Machine

Signal from the machine's wheel sensor

Simulated

Simulated speed for checking the application rate or when no other speed signal is available

  1. Under Source, select the desired source of the speed signal.
  2. If Machine is selected:

In the Settings > Service > Calibrations menu, select Wheel speed and teach-in the pulses, Teaching-in the pulses per 100 m. Alternatively, enter the pulses per 100m for the left and right wheel sensors manually.
  3. If Simulated is selected:

Enter the simulated speed. The entered speed must be maintained later on.
NOTE

If another source of the speed signal is detected, the simulated speed is automatically deactivated.
