DANGER

Mortal danger due to contact of the boom with overhead power lines

If poles, hedges or other objects on the field reach the detection range of the sensor for the automatic boom guidance, the boom can unintentionally swing upward and hit overhead power lines.

Switch the automatic boom guidance off in the vicinity of overhead power lines.

REQUIREMENTS

The source of the speed signal has been set up, Configuring the source of the speed signal.
The geometry data is entered, Entering the geometry data.
The switch-on and switch-off times for Section Control are set, Setting the switch-on and switch-off time for Section Control.
The pulses per 100m have been taught in, Teaching-in the pulses per 100 m.
The alarm limits for the spray pressure and the spray liquid tank fill level have been set, Setting the alarm limits.
The hydraulic pump drive has been set, Setting the hydraulic pump drive.
The steering axle has been set, Adjusting the steering system.
The quick start button is configured, Configuring the quick start button.
If the Task Controller can control fewer TC part-width sections than the boom has spray nozzles, the Allow fewer TC part-width sections function is activated, Reducing the number of part-width sections for the Task Controller.
The pressure valve chest DA is in position .

Unfold the boom, Unfolding the boom

Adjust the agitator capacity.
Run the spray liquid pump.
In the Field menu, select the Work menu.
Switch on Section Control.
Switch on the automatic boom guidance.
Switch on the automatic application rate control.
Switch on the automatic control of the hydropneumatic spring suspension.
Start the spraying procedure and simultaneously drive off.

The Work menu displays the activated automatic functions as well as an overall load display for the boom and a display of the machine capacity. The displays show both the current and the maximum permissible load levels.

If the load is shown to be too high:
Adapt the driving style.

NOTE

The number of times the permissible boom load is exceeded will be documented.

If there are any claims for goodwill, depending on the damage pattern, the counter values can be consulted.

If the working height should be adjusted during operation:

With each actuation, the height of the boom guidance is increased or reduced by 5cm.

The working height remains at the set value as long as automatic boom guidance is active.

NOTE

If you accidentally press and hold the button, the boom is only briefly lifted and is automatically lowered again when the button is released.
