Turning on the headlands

IMPORTANT
Boom damage due to overload
The boom can be damaged if the permitted boom load is exceeded.
Reduce the forward speed significantly before the headlands.
Drive in curves at a constant speed.
Drive tight curve radii slowly, at less than 6km/h.
Avoid jerky steering or rapid and abrupt changes in direction.
NOTE
The number of times the permissible boom load is exceeded will be documented.
If there are any claims for goodwill, depending on the damage pattern, the counter values can be consulted.
NOTE
When working with Section Control on the headlands, unworked wedges can occur on the field if the machine is driving in a curve when driving into or out of the headland.

  1. If Section Control is being used:

    Drive out of the field in a straight line to avoid leaving unworked wedges on the field.

The ISOBUS control terminal automatically makes the required settings when driving into the headlands.

  1. Drive into the field in a straight line to avoid unworked wedges on the field.

The ISOBUS control terminal automatically makes the required settings when driving out of the headlands.

  1. If Section Control is not being used:

    Stop spraying operation when driving onto the headlands.

The boom is automatically lifted.

  1. Start the spraying procedure when driving out of the headlands.

The boom is automatically lowered back to the set working height.
