Defining the geometry values for mounted machines

The grain placement is controlled based on the geometry.

The geometry values are pre-set. If the geometry values need to be changed, the distances must be precisely remeasured.

NOTE
When seeding coulters are installed or removed, the geometry must be adjusted.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MultiBoom is licensed and available on the control terminal

  • MultiBoom is switched on on the control terminal

  1. In the Settings menu, select Implement > Geometry.
  2. enter the number of rows under Installed rows.

If the number of rows is changed, the displayed diagram shows the arrangement of the rows on the distributor head.

  1. Enter the row spacing under Row spacing.
  2. To enter the positions of the placement points:

    Continue with .

Depending on the software version, 2 or 3 placement points are available when Multi Boom is activated. Either one placement point is available for each applied material or seed and micropellets are switched together with one placement point. Fertiliser is switched with another application point. When Multi Boom is deactivated, the placement point is defined for seed.

  1. To activate Multi Boom:

In the Settings menu, select Profile > ISOBUS and activate Multi Boom.
  2. Enter the distance of the placement points under 1.
  3. For offset to the left:

Enter the offset with a negative prefix under 2

or

For offset to the right:

Enter the offset with a positive prefix.

When seeding coulters are installed or removed, the segment distributor head must be calibrated.

  1. To calibrate the segment distributor head:
