Calibration with the ISOBUS terminal and the TwinTerminal

REQUIREMENTS

  • The fan is switched off

  • The machine is at a standstill

  1. In the Field menu, call up Calibration.
  2. In the Calibration menu, select the desired hopper.
  1. Enter the subsequent working speed under Intended speed.
NOTE
On machines with a combined two-tip hopper, the target rate per metering unit does not need to be halved.
  1. Enter the Target rate.

On machines with row-based metering units, the metering wheel volume is specified per row.

On machines with central metering units, the metering roller volume is specified for all rows.

  1. Select the desired metering wheel under Metering wheel

or

Select the desired metering roller volume under Metering roller

or

In the selection menu above, select ... and enter a user-defined metering wheel volume.

  1. Continue with .

The calibration type defines how the calibration is started.

  1. To continue the calibration with the TwinTerminal:

    Under Calibration method, select TwinTerminal.
  2. Continue with .
  1. Check the entries before the calibration.

  2. When the entries are correct:

    Confirm the entries with and skip to step 15

or

When the entries are not correct:

Carry out steps 11 to 14.

  1. Press .
  1. On the homepage of the TwinTerminal, press .

The TwinTerminal is switched off.

  1. To activate the operation on the ISOBUS control terminal:

    Press .
  2. On the ISOBUS terminal, repeat steps 1 to 8 and on the TwinTerminal, steps 9 and 10.

  1. To prepare the machine for calibration:

    Refer to the machine operating manual.

  1. To fill the metering units:

    press and hold pre-metering .

  2. When the pre-metering is complete:

    Press .
  3. Empty the calibration bucket.
  1. Place a calibration bucket under the metering unit.

  2. When the metering unit is open and an empty calibration bucket is positioned:

    Press .

  1. To start the calibration:

    press and hold.

During the calibration procedure, the theoretic applied quantity will be displayed.

NOTE

At high metering quantities, the calibration can be paused to empty the calibration bucket.

If the collected quantity is enough for checking, the calibration can also be terminated prematurely.

As soon as appears, the calibration test can be ended prematurely.

  1. To terminate the calibration:

    Press .

The display switches to the Input menu.

NOTE

Calibration is automatically stopped when an area corresponding to the target rate has been reached. The display switches to the Input menu.

  1. To select the desired position:

    press or .

The selected position is indicated by an arrow .

  1. To switch to the numeric entry:

    Press .

The underscore indicates the selected numeric entry.

  1. To enter the desired number:

    press or .

  2. To accept the desired number:

    Press .
  3. Enter all of the numbers.
  1. Press until is selected.

  2. To accept the calibration factor:

    Press .

The new calibration factor and the percent difference between the calibration quantity and the theoretical quantity is displayed.

  1. If the displayed percent deviation is more than 2 %:

    Accept the value with and repeat the calibration for optimisation

or

If the displayed percent deviation of the quantity is less than 2 %:

Accept the value with

or

To discard the calibrated values and start a new calibration:

Press .

  1. To activate the operation on the ISOBUS control terminal after the calibration:

    Press .
