Configuring the coulter pressure monitoring

  1. In the Settings menu, select Implement > Coulter pressure.

The signal for the coulter pressure monitoring can come from 2 different sources:

  • Coulter pressure control: A sensor determines the pressure in the hydraulic coulter pressure system.

  • SmartForce: At least 2 sensors determine the contact force on the coulter.

  1. Select the source for the coulter pressure signal under Regulation of the coulter pressure.
  2. Enter the desired time for delayed use of the coulter pressure under Coulter pressure delay.

To ensure that the height control remains correct for machines with sections, the section pressure must be adjusted to the coulter pressure.

  1. To adjust the section pressure automatically:

    Activate Couple section pressure to coulter pressure.

When the section pressure is coupled to the coulter pressure, this symbol is shown in the Work menu:

  1. To monitor the coulter pressure:

    activate Message when the soil is too soft.

To prevent machines with many coulters from lifting out, the maximum coulter pressure can be limited. When the maximum coulter pressure is required, the coulter pressure limitation can be deactivated.

  1. Activate or deactivate the Coulter pressure limitation.
