Lubricating the lateral universal joint shafts

  • After initial operation

  • As required

  1. Fold up the universal joint shaft cover 1.

  1. Unlock the fasteners 2.

  2. Slide the universal joint shaft guard cone 1 over the guard tube.

  3. Grease the lubrication points.

  1. Align the universal joint shaft guard cone 1 on the guard tube 2. Slide the universal joint shaft guard cone over the joint.

Lock the fasteners 3.

The universal joint shaft cover 1 closes automatically and is secured with the magnetic lock 2 in a closed state.

  1. Check that the closed universal joint shaft cover is firmly seated.

On the KE 6002-2, the profile tube is lubricated via a grease nipple on the guard tube 2. Smaller machines have an inner lubrication line under the protective cap 1.

  1. Repeat the lubrication procedure on the opposite side of the universal joint shaft.
  2. Repeat the maintenance for the opposite side of the machine.
