Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment

The coulter pressure is applied with a hydraulic cylinder 1.

Depending on the machine equipment, the hydraulic coulter pressure system can be equipped with contact force regulation. The force sensors 1 determine the contact force of the coulters. The signal processing 2 calculates an average value for all coulters and regulates the pressure in the hydraulic coulter pressure system.

PREREQUISITES

  • Fan must be switched on

  • Machine has recorded the forward speed

NOTE
The working range is between 5 and 100 bar.
NOTE
If hydraulic coulter pressure is set too high, the machine will be lifted over the PreTeC mulch seed coulters.
Only use the contact force regulation up to seed placement depth position F-F.

  1. If the placement depth is not reached in the tracks, the coulter pressure must be selectively increased in the tracks:

    Adjust the coulter pressure in the track.

  2. To increase the coulter pressure for heavy soils:

    In the Work menu, select .

  3. To reduce the coulter pressure for light soils:

    In the Work menu, select .

  4. To check the adjustment:

    Sow 30 m at working speed. Check the work pattern.
