FertiSpot

The FertiSpot metering unit enables spot application of pre-metered fertilizer. The pre-metered fertilizer is conveyed via the hose 4 into the air separator 5. In FertiSpot mode, the fertilizer portion is applied in synch with the seed. In MultiSpot mode, a maximum number of fertilizer portions can be applied. The exhaust air is output close to the ground via the hose 6. The fertilizer is collected in the metering unit housing 1 and by means of the rotor 2 conveyed portion-by-portion into the FerTec coulter 3.

To regulate the placement of fertilizer portions on implements with coupled fertilizer coulters, a sensor 1 transmits the placement depth to the software.

To reduce vibration of the FertiSpot metering unit, the leaf-spring guided fertilizer coulter is pre-tensioned with a spring tensioner 2.
