Cleaning the FertiSpot

PREREQUISITES

  • The machine must be mounted on the tractor

  • Fan must be switched off

  • Filling auger is switched off

  1. Disconnect the energy supply from the metering unit housing 1.
  2. Remove the cotter pin 2.
  1. Dismount the air separator 2.
  2. Unscrew the knurled nut 1.
  1. Open the cover for spot placement 1.
  2. Clean the sheet metal tracks in the metering unit housing and rotor with a soft brush.
  3. Check rotor for ease of movement.

If after deflection, the rotor blade does not spring back into the end position, clean the rotor intensively.

  1. Dismount nut 1.
  2. Dismount rotor 2 and clean it.
  3. Mount rotor.
  4. Mount nuts.
NOTE
Motor control saves the calibration factor of the angle of rotation sensor on the fertilizer coulter. The spot placement covers must not be swapped out among the rows.
  1. Close the cover of the metering unit housing.
  2. Tighten the knurled nut.
  3. Mount the air separator.
  4. Mount the cotter pin.
  5. Mount the energy supply on the metering unit housing.
NOTE
After cleaning, If the spot placement cover cannot be mounted at the same position, then depth detection must be recalculated.
  1. Lift out the machine.
  2. On all coupled coulters, set the placement depth to position 6.
  3. In the menu Settings > Info > Diagnostics, select > Rows.
  4. Activate .
