Checking the coulter mounting bracket

Interval

  • At the start of the season

PREREQUISITES

  • Machine is lifted out

  • Machine must be clean

  • Tractor and machine are secured

  1. Use a feeler gauge to determine the distance between the coulter mounting bracket 1 and the profile rail 2.

  2. If the distance is greater than 0,1 in (2,5mm):

    Adjust the journal bearing tension, adjusting journal bearing tension.

or

If the distance is less than 0,1 in (2,5mm):

Replace the journal bearing, Replacing journal bearings.
