Checking the grain spacing

The application rate determines the required grain spacing. The selection of the singling discs and of the singling disc speed determines the grain spacing.

  1. Spread seed for 30m at working speed.
  2. Remove the fine soil over the seed.
  3. Expose 11 grains 1 in one row.
  4. Determine 10 grain spacings.
  1. Calculate the average grain spacing.
  2. Cover the seed with fine soil again.
