Checking and replacing the furrow formers or furrow clearers on the PreTeC mulch seeding coulter

    At the end of the season

  1. To arrest the carrier rollers 1 in the upper position:

    Swivel up the carrier rollers on both sides. Peg in the hole 2.
NOTE
The cutting disc does not need to be removed to change the furrow former or the furrow clearer.

  1. If the indicator 1 is no longer visible:

    Replace the furrow former

or

If the furrow clearer 2 is worn down to the feed channel:

Replace the furrow clearer.

  1. Lift the implement.
  2. Secure the tractor and implement.
  3. Remove the bolt 3 and the bolt lock 4.
  4. Replace the furrow former or furrow clearer.

  5. If the toothing of the bolt lock is worn:

    Replace the bolt lock.
  6. Install the bolt and bolt lock and tighten.

  7. Use a rubber mallet to deliver a seating blow on the furrow former.

  8. To ensure that the bolt fits tightly:

    Retighten the bolt with the torque wrench.
